Is there Life on Mars?, are we getting close to our alien neighbours

You have seen the news about the possibility of life on Mars, after analyzing the photo send by NASA’s Spirit Rover from Mars. Its indeed a great thing for us to know about life in our neighbour planet. Most of the news channels were celebrating the findings of a photo showing Woman sitting , on a rock in Mars.
But some senior scientists and astronauts suspected that the phenomena was because of some illusion due to clouds of carbon dioxide in that area or just a rock structure. What ever it may be, the traces of life friendly gases can help us to find out the possibility of life. I feel we are so close to meet our alien neighbours.
