Sun Microsystems is giving free Open Solaris CDs to its registered users for free. Even though Solaris is being used in servers, still it could not win the heart of desktop users.

I strongly feel that university and college students must give a try on Open Solaris to experience its features and performance. Hope the free Open Solaris CD initiative from Sun would bring more Open Solaris users as well as community contributors.
