Chrome Reflection: Google Paints its Favicon with Colors

After making the Big G to a small g favicon, now Google team has changed its favicon to reflect the colors in Google letters. The new favicon can also be visualized as the colored version of the small g, by painting the different sections in the small g favicon with the colors  in Google letters.

Any way the new favicon has given more visual appeal to the Google search home page, especially when it is residing in the tabbed browser windows.

I feel that this color change could be a reflection of Chrome, the browser from Google's stable.
