Microsoft has announced the preview of its Internet Explorer 9, which is under development. The final release is expected in 2011.

IE team will be putting more effort to improve the performance of IE9 and making the browser compatible with new standards,  especially in the areas of vector graphics, CSS3 and HTML5.

IE 9 will take the full advantage of your hardware with background compiled JavaScript, it will also support interoperability with the latest web standards. They also given more importance to GPU powered HTML5 graphics.

Download Internet Explorer 8 beta from Microsoft

Microsoft has geared up to release its IE 8 final by the end of this year 2008. They have made a beta release of IE 8 for Web developers and Designers. The new Internet Explorer comes well integrated with Microsoft online services like live, maps, spaces etc.

I felt that Its much faster compared to IE 7. Another facility targeting web developers and designers is the inbuilt application similar to Firebug in Firefox. Its is a good signal that IE Team is recognizing and learning lot of browser practices and thumb rules from Mozilla Firefox.
