Google Search Improvements Timeline-Parameters to get top listed

Google search has evolved in multi-dimensions since its inception. There are many parameters that decide the priority of contents that appear in Google search results.

Now, its not just page rank, or just back links (of course they are among the group of parameters) governs the popularity and visibility of your articles, videos and images in the Google search results. We could understand from search result patterns that, Google is also emphasizing on the social popularity of the contents.

You can very well see that the articles shared or commented by you in Google plus, will appear on top in your related search results while you are logged in to your Google account.

Google also started indexing, iframe contents. In a way this will help your social comments get indexed by Google. So, even the comments made through the Facebook social plugin would also get counted.

In a nutshell we can see that the Google has very much evolved from mere text search to a social and semantic realms.

Getting page rank of 6 outof 10

We would like to thank Google for awarding us page rank 6/10!. An incredible recognition, in fact. It was great moment for us, when we realize that our blog has been given 6/10 rank. I would like to share some tips, that would have helped us, to reach this point.

Providing your own content (the content is the King)

Make the page simple for the Search Engines to read! (reduce unwanted JS and related animations)
Try to provide maximum links to your own articles from your home page (reduce the number of outbound links to external sites)
Spend some amount for adwords!.
And of course being part of blogspot magic!

You guys can also comment few points, in case if I missed out something.

Google implements Digg like link promotion in its Search Result

Google at last made it clear that, its not just the machines but humans need to be in place to rank the indexed pages to raise the search results to semantic realms. You would have noticed a up vote and down vote icons in the Google search result. Web surfers can use these icons to rank the links in the Google search result.

Do not panic if you could not find these icons in your search results, you need to login with your Google account to view and vote the search results.

If you are a stumbler, then you would have used these voting mechanisms using the stumbleupon integration with Google search result. The new feature in Google can also be viewed as a Digg.com like way to promote the indexed links of your web site and blog. If you can get promote votes from more users, then you are more likely to get listed in the top 10 entries of the Google search result.

Try to gather more promote votes for your web site/blog to improve your traffic from Google search.
