Make GMail load faster by configuring firebug

Most of the web developers and javascript freaks are in close relation with FireBug add-on for Firefox. FireBug can transform Firefox browser to a web debugging environment. FireBug would help you locate the exact error in the HTML code and even in debugging javascript .


But use of FireBug add-on in Firefox may slow down GMail performance. In order to solve this GMail loading issue, you have to configure the FireBug add-on such that FireBug can be disabled for GMail alone.

Follow the steps below to disable FireBug for mail.google.com

Login to to GMail.com
Click on the red or green icon at the right bottom corner of FireBug enabled Firefox browser.

Click on the FireBug icon and select Disable FireBug for mail.google.com


Done. But if you still want to debug, then you can customize the Firebug by clicking on the Options in the FireBug tool bar and disabling the showing of errors in different categories.

Airbus A380 maiden flight from Singapore to Sydney

First Airbus A380 delivered by Airbus Corporation to Singapore airlines made its maiden flight to Sydney from Singapore on 25th of October 2007. Airbus A380 is the largest passenger plane which can accommodate upto 960 passengers at a time.

GMail got more than 4GB mail storage capacity

Yahoo search assist says Google is best

Yahoo has introduced the search assistance feature in its web search. With the help of search assist users will get the drop down list of matching commonly searched keywords as they type the search query. Its indeed a nice effort from yahoo to reduce the time taken by user to frame search queries and thus results in faster response and productivity. You can get the search assist feature of Yahoo from the home page of Yahoo or from search.yahoo.com.

I tried giving a query Yahoo is b, then Yahoo stunned me with its first item in the search assist list. You can see the image below for reference. You may also try this by your self by typing the search query Yahoo is b in Yahoo home page or search.yahoo.com.


Then I thought of trying out a different query, that is , Google is b. Then the first item in the suggestion list said Google is best. Refer the image below for the same. You can try out the same with yahoo search, to believe.


Google already implemented this feature in Google Search very long back as Google Suggest.

Here is nice opportunity for Firefox users to enjoy the theme of Windows Vista, The Vista-aero theme for Firefox. This will give Firefox the most IE7 like look and feel and the Vista progress bar on the Firefox status bar. The menus in Firefox will also will look like those menus in Windows Vista on other Windows Operating Systems. Also you will get IE7 like tabs for browsing in Firefox.


One thing I have observed after shifting to this Vista-aero theme is that I couldn't open new tabs by double clicking on the tabs bar. This is possible in Firefox with default theme and even in IE7, but not in Safari for Windows. I hope the developers would fix this issue with Vista-aero theme in near future. Blogger shown a error page as shown below, when I tried to upload one image for my blog post.


In order to post the image, I waited for few minutes and then uploaded the image again by closing the previous image upload window. Then it worked fine. You can also do the same method to upload the images to your blog posts if such an error comes. Happy Blogging.
